얼마전 출근길에 늘 듣는 Focus on the family 프로그램을 통해 소개된 Duane Miller 목사님의 간증이 너무 은혜스러웠기에 잠간 소개할까 합니다.
Duane Miller 목사님은1990년 1월, 감기 증세로 인해 성대를 다쳐 목소리를 잃게 되고 처음엔 일시적인 현상이겠지 했던것이 전문 의사들로부터 회복이 불가능한것으로 밝혀지면서 찬양과 주일학교 교사를 맡은 그로서는 더 이상 사역을 할 수 없음으로 인해 절망적이 됩니다. 결국 담임 목사직을 사임하고 약 3년의 시간이 흐른 어느 주일, 텍사스의 어느 주일학교의 간곡한 부탁으로 잘 알아들을수 없는 힘겨운 목소리로 성경을 가르치게 됩니다. 그때에 생각지도 또 예상치도 않았던 하나님의 기적적인 손길을 통해 목소리가 회복되는 경험을 설교도중 하게 됩니다. 마침 그 주일학교는 모든 설교를 녹음하고 있었기에 그 기적같은 순간 17분이 고스란히 녹음되었고 그 당시 역사하신 하나님의 손길을 우리 모두 같이 경험할 수가 있게 되었습니다. 귀한 간증을 통해 함께 은혜를 나눴으면 좋겠습니다. You will be witness to the healing power of God in the life of Rev. Duane Miller. After battling the flu in January of 1990, Rev. Duane lost his voice. What began as a short-term frustration was eventually diagnosed as a long-term and potentially permanent condition. For Rev. Duane Miller, a man called and gifted of God to teach and preach, the news was devastating and life changing. However, despite all their hardships, he and his family remained faithful to the Lord. Three years later as Duane taught a Sunday School class (with limited ability to speak) his voice was miraculously restored — a miracle captured on audiotape. Through what he experienced, Rev. Duane does not seek to benefit personally, but continues to give God the glory.
